We’re Looking for a Chiropractor to join our team.

Salt Spring Island

Gorgeous Salt Spring Island offers a slower paced rural lifestyle, easy access to nature, many local organic farms, a temperate climate, a strong community oriented vibe, and plenty of opportunity for outdoor and water-based activities.

We’re the only local interdisciplinary clinic on the island. Our current team consists of 5 naturopathic physicians, 2 chiropractors, 1 physiotherapist, 1 medical doctor, 2 counsellors, 1 holistic nutritionist, and 1 nurse. We are in a rural area that is underserved by the conventional medical system so our clinic fills an important gap in meeting the health needs of the community. Specifically, the community need is leading us to grow our Phys Med team.

We are located in a heritage building in downtown Ganges - a beautiful space that gives our clinic a warm feel. Our name, Madrona, is another name for the very locally recognizable arbutus tree, but also comes from the root word “mother”, which encapsulates the sense of being held that we hope all patients feel through every step of their care with our team.

On Salt Spring we are looking for an experienced Chiropractor who wants to grow their practice alongside our integrative team of naturopathic doctors, counsellors, physiotherapist and more.


CROFTON

Our new clinic in Crofton in the Cowichan Valley serves a growing oceanside community, with easy access to Duncan, the surrounding Cowichan Valley, and Salt Spring Island via a short ferry ride. The area offers a wonderful balance of small-town living, access to nature, and proximity to larger communities.

We have opened a beautiful, spacious, wheelchair accessible clinic with a dedicated rehabilitation gym. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building an integrated physical medicine team. Our vision is to bring together physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and personal trainers to collaboratively support movement, recovery, strength, and long-term health.

As a new and growing location, Crofton offers the opportunity to help shape the development of our rehabilitation services, build a thriving practice, and become part of an interdisciplinary team from the ground up.

At our Crofton clinic we are seeking both experienced candidates as well as a new grad to mentor with one of our experienced Chiropractors, Dr. Kate Schertzer, DC, ND, MS. See below for mentorship details.

Mentorship Details

We are offering an optional mentorship Dr. Kate is an exceptional practitioner, with a very strong reputation in our community. Unfortunately, due to an injury, Dr. Kate needs to limit her chiropractic practice and is looking to mentor a new grad to support the increasing demand for chiropractic and manual therapy in this community. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong practice quickly because of the significant demand for chiropractors (and most types of health providers) locally.

Dr Kate provides a variety of modalities to best serve her patients needs. She has extensive experience in:

  • Diversified Chiropractic Techniques;

  • Soft tissue treatments such as Active Release Technique (ART) and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Massage;

  • Rehabilitative exercise and sports medicine, including functional movement assessments,

  • Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS),

  • Kinesio taping and more.
