Haley Collins

Care Coordinator

Haley was born and raised on Vancouver island, predominantly in Nanaimo before moving to the Cowichan Valley in 2015. She has always felt a calling to help others, and decided in 2020 to attend Sprott Shaw College to obtain her Health Care Assistant certificate. She began work in a Dementia and Alzheimer's focused long term care facility in Shawnigan Lake during the height of the pandemic, where she stayed until welcoming her daughter to the world in 2025.

As her maternity leave was coming to a close, she decided a change of scenery was just what she needed to help her honour the slow and present season of new motherhood while allowing her to continue her love for community and desire to be of service, which brought her to joining us at Madrona.

Growing up on the Island with both parents in the Horticultural industry instilled a love of plants and the outdoors from an early age. During her time off Haley enjoys being in nature, often going on walks with friends, hikes in the trails or taking her daughter to the beach. She has dreams of starting a family garden to grow her own food and dip her toes into the world of herbalism and natural remedies.

She resides in Crofton enjoying the ocean views with her family and dog Rylee by her side, filled with excitement and pride to be a part of Madrona's expansion to the community.
